Street Renaming
Oakes Estates Property Owners,

Listed below are the new street names for each of our eight avenues, along with a status as of November 26th, 2003. All names have now been officially approved by the Board of County Commissioners.

Note the exact spelling for your street. There is no 'e' in 'Oaks' for any of these street names. Your street number will remain exactly the same in all cases! For instance, if you live at 6000 16th Avenue NW, your new address will be 6000 Standing Oaks Lane.

Approved by the Board of County Commissioners (BCC) on 9/23/03
Each property owner should receive official written notification in the mail from the county that the name change for your street has taken effect. We have been told to wait until then to replace street signs and begin notifying mail correspondents of our new street names.
  • 14th - Shady Oaks Lane
  • 16th - Standing Oaks Lane
  • 18th - Golden Oaks Lane
  • 20th - Spanish Oaks Lane
  • 22nd - Hidden Oaks Lane
  • 24th - Autumn Oaks Lane

Approved by the Board of County Commissioners (BCC) on 11/18/03
Sometime in December, property owners on these two streets should receive official written notification from the county that the name change for your street has taken effect. Your street signs will be replaced with the new names soon after those notices are received.

  • 10th - English Oaks Lane
  • 12th - Bur Oaks Lane (one "r" in Bur)

Thanks,
Oakes Estates Advisory

Status of Street Renaming (January 6, 2004)

Peter Goodin has received the new signs for 10th and 12th Avenues, and will be placing them with the help of Ray Russell in the very near future. This concludes the Street Renaming project and much thanks goes out to Peter Goodin and the street captains for all their hard work.
